Wheelchair Users

What are physical challenges?

A physical challenge can make it harder for someone to move, complete tasks or control certain muscles. Different challenges affect people in different ways, meaning that everyone’s experience is unique.

Some common challenges include difficulties with walking, standing, sitting or using limbs. These challenges can impact someone’s ability to perform daily activities and make them harder to accomplish.

We’re experienced in providing care for a range of physical challenges, such as cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, musculoskeletal injuries and muscular dystrophy.

We know that many people with physical challenges also have other conditions, such as learning challenges, brain injuries, mental health needs, and additional health requirements. Our skilled teams are trained and experienced in supporting individuals with complex needs.
